Our Story

You know those moments when you are sitting around the dinner table as a family talking about your pet peeves? Well, it was one of those moments when we (my girls and I) started talking about “girl pet peeves.” You know the ones like chewing sounds, long hair in the shower and sink, cracking knuckles, clipping nails in public places, and not cleaning up after your dog…right? Then one of my daughters said how annoying it is to wash her face and have water dripping down her arms and all over the counter. Ugh! We all agreed! We hate this! That led to being bugged by our hair getting wet while washing our faces even when it’s held back with a ponytail holder. Frustrating and annoying! Then we talked about the worst pet peeve for a girl…using the same body towel to dry our hair! Eww! So gross!  Stop! Aha, moment! We need wristbands to stop water from dripping down wrists, headbands to keep hair dry, and towels designed for head hair only.

The search began to find products to solve these problems. Yes, they were out there. But after trying several other products that failed to meet our criteria (first and foremost eco-friendly fabric and packaging) we set out to design our own products and packaging. A set of eco-friendly wrist bands eliminating water dripping down the arms, an eco-friendly headband keeping hair dry while face washing, and an eco-friendly hair towel cutting down drying time, reducing frizz, and most importantly used only for human manes. Finally, eco-friendly packaging that is compostable in landfills. Plastic packaging is extremely wasteful and impacts the earth’s ecosystems, on which we depend.

After months of hard work and several different textile prototypes, manufacturing began.  We are new at this so please be patient with us as we navigate this new venture.  We are women just like you trying to find a solution to a problem. We want and need your feedback on our products but we ask you to do so in a positive way that helps us make our products better and easier for you to use. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do!
